How can a website process files without uploading them?
Modern browsers are powerful enough to run real software. When you open a FileMoat tool, your browser downloads the tool's code — not the other way round. Your file is then processed by your own computer, inside the browser tab.
Is FileMoat really free?
Yes. Every tool listed here is free to use, with no account and no watermark. A Pro plan for very large files and batch work is coming later — the free tools will stay free.
Can my company's firewall block FileMoat?
FileMoat is a normal HTTPS website and never transfers your files, so data-loss-prevention systems have nothing to flag. Most corporate networks allow it without any setup.
Do you use cookies or trackers?
No tracking cookies, no advertising scripts and no third-party analytics. Our security headers actually forbid the page from sending data anywhere else.
