FAQ

Good to know

Are my files uploaded to FileMoat?

No. The tool runs entirely inside your browser tab. Your files are read from your device, processed in memory and saved back to your device. Nothing is sent to our server — you can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it keeps working.

What JSON shapes are supported?

An array of objects, an object that wraps such an array (like {"data": [...]}) — we use that list and tell you which one — a single object, or JSON Lines with one record per line.

What happens to nested data?

Nested objects are flattened into dot-named columns, e.g. address.city. Lists are kept as JSON text in a single cell so nothing is lost.
