FAQ
Good to know
Are my files uploaded to FileMoat?
No. The tool runs entirely inside your browser tab. Your files are read from your device, processed in memory and saved back to your device. Nothing is sent to our server — you can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it keeps working.
Is this a legally valid signature?
It is a simple electronic signature: an image of your signature added to the document. Many everyday agreements accept this, but some contracts or authorities require a certificate-based digital signature (for example a qualified signature under the EU eIDAS rules). FileMoat does not create those. If in doubt, ask the person who requested your signature.
Is my signature saved anywhere?
No. It exists only in this browser tab while you work and disappears when you close or reload the page. Nothing is stored on our server or in your browser.
Can I sign several pages?
Yes. Move between pages and add your signature, your initials as text, or the date wherever they are needed — then download once.
