The short version

The files you open with FileMoat tools are processed entirely inside your web browser. They are never uploaded to, stored on, or visible to us or anyone else. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising or third-party analytics.

Data controller

The individual who runs FileMoat — reachable at contact@filemoat.com. Personal data is handled in line with applicable data-protection laws and, for visitors located in the European Union, the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

What we process

Your files

Nothing. Files are read into your browser's memory, processed on your device and discarded when you close the tab.

Technical logs

Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, date, requested page, browser type) to operate and secure the website. Legal basis: legitimate interest. These logs are kept for a limited period under our hosting provider's retention policy.

Emails you send us

If you write to us, we keep your email address and message to answer you, for up to 3 years after our last exchange. Legal basis: legitimate interest / pre-contractual steps.

Payments (future Pro plan)

Payments will be handled by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, which processes your billing details under its own privacy policy. We never see your full card number.

Cookies

We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. No consent banner is needed because nothing non-essential is stored.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or object to its processing, by writing to contact@filemoat.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority in the EU.
